When to replace your side mirror turn signal repeater
Side mirrors of your car are often subject to shocks and impacts since they simply extend out of the vehicle limits.
As a result, the turn signal is more often cracked rather than completely broken and while the bulb inside or the LEDs remain operational, this leads into water entering your turn signal repeater on one hand, and a degradation of the car's look on the other, thus the necessity to replace it. Here's how to proceed, noting that these works occurred on a 2019 Citroën C3 but they remain identical on any vehicle.

Removing the broken side mirror turn signal repeater
- Insert your car trim removal tool or anything in rigid plastic behind the side mirror cover and pull out with some force.
- The side mirror front cover will then come out of the mirror's frame as shown.
- This frees the turn signal repeater.
With your finger, press on the turn signal repeater tab to take it off, then pull out the bulb or disconnect the LEDs.
