Car interior trim parts that can be painted
You can paint any car interior part made of rigid plastic by preparing its surface and directly spraying it from an aerosol paint can.
The below tutorial shows how this peeled Renault Clio console trim has peeled off with time, deteriorating the car's interior appearance; we will repaint it in black.

Repainting the damaged peripheral trim of the Renault Clio
- The center console's perimeter is sandwiched between the front and rear plastic frames, which are welded together. It cannot be completely removed; you can only slightly pry it open, as shown in the first image. This will allow you to better position the masking tape and protect the unpainted area.
- Cover everything with masking tape then cut the tape on each side of the damaged trim and take it off.
Use a grit 400 sandpaper to clean and smoothen the peeled paint
Spray three thin coats of your favorite color from a paint spray can, with a few minutes between coats.
In the case of this red car, the trim can be painted silver gray, black or red.
Once dry, i.e. after a couple of hours, remove the masking tape and refit your centra console, which peripheral trim is now as shiny and smooth as a new one!
