Peugeot and Citroën negative battery terminal location and access

The negative battery terminal of all Peugeot and Citroën vehicles is always located to the back side of the engine compartment, underneath the windshield wipers and is not easily accessible, i.e. you cannot fit on it the crocodile clamp of your battery carger.
You can only access the battery clamp fixing nut for the purpose of disconnecting the negative terminal, and this is often only possible after removing whatever is mounted on top of the battery (depending on models).

How to disconnect the battery of Peugeot and Citroën cars

Always disconnect the positive terminal of the battery, which is fitted with a quick-release clamp on all Peugeot and Citroën cars. This is very practical for mechanical interventions, or in case you need to reset your computers like for example when facing a black screen problem.
