Removing the broken shift knob of the Renault Clio
- Pull down the leather cover of the gear shift stick
- Remove all loose parts that can be easily taken off by hand
- Fit locking pliers to the lower plastic ring of the shift knob
- Pull the knob out of the gear stick with full force; keep in mind that this requires strong force.

Refitting a new manual gear shift knob
- Make sure you purchased a shift knob that has the same base
- Push it down the gear stick with full force, use your fist to hammer it down.
- Carefully refit the leather cover to the knob's ring
- That's it!
