Car remote shell opening
Start by removing the ring and finding the place where you should insert a screwdriver for opening the remote key body.
Use a large slotted screwdriver to open the body of the damaged key fob.

Tilt the screwdriver and open the key fob shell completely in order to uncover the electronics.
Compare again the new key fob your purchased to the damaged one.
Do so while the new remote key body is closed then open.
Take out the small printed circuit board if you find them identical or at least much similar and go the next step.

Replacing the mechanical key of the car remote
Now you need to work on the mechanical part.
The new key fob is supplied with a flat mechanical car key of the same dimensions as your original key but has obviously no grooves to match the car door lock.

- Place it in a vice and use a small Philips or Torx screwdriver to extract the pin unless you have a small pin punch.
- Gently hit on your screwdriver with a hammer for extracting the pin.
- Take out the flat key.
Do the same with the old car key fob, then insert the car key into the mechanism of the new car key fob and fit the pin using pliers.

Completing the car key fob shell renewal
Place the small printed board in the new shell and close the cover by pressing firmly with your fingers all over the perimeter of the body.
Test the buttons with your finger; you should feel the spring effect on each.
