Removing the car sun visor mirror (vanity mirror)
Use your nail to unclip the plastic frame all around the sun visor mirror and take out both frame and broken mirror.

Preparing the spare sun visor vanity mirror
Buy a specific car sun visor mirror from any car accessories aisle of any supermarket or a car decorations shop.
The Italian brand "Lampa" offers one under its range for around 2-3 $.
Do not use a thick household mirror, this could be dangerous especially in case of a car accident and even if it is a small accident.
Try the new mirror on your sun visor frame. It probably needs to be cut to size so it fits back in it.

Use a glass cutter to cut the mirror.
Repeatedly have the glass cutter blade moving on the line you draw to cut the mirror until you clearly hear the glass breaking in micro particles. Turn your mirror to the other side, and you should see the groove line you just created.

Hold firmly the mirror in one hand and use pliers in an abrupt gesture to break the unwanted glass piece by piece until you free the whole width or length of the mirror.

- The pliers should be kept perpendicular to the groove line in the glass
- Your movement has to be downwards with the groove line on top
- Your gesture has to be quick and short
- Wear glasses to protect your eyes form eventual glass particles when doing this
Once done, use grade 50 - 60 (grit) sandpaper rolled around a piece of wood as shown below to polish the mirror edge you just cut and make sure it is no more sharp i.e. it cannot cut your hand.

Completing the sun visor mirror replacement by refitting the new vanity mirror
Just fit the mirror in its frame and clip back the frame using both fingers simultaneously while supporting the sun visor with your other fingers from the backside.
