The carburettor seat on the intake collector does not match the carburettor base of the replacement carburettor.

I decided to use the two threaded holes to the left on the collector for fixing the wider replacement carburettor.
A preliminary approximate carton board template is cut while taking measurements.

The same is then copied to a thick paper for accuracy purposes. All measurements are marked on the template.
You can also use Autocad as most workshops accept .dwg files which are then directly uploaded to the cutting machine.

Carburettor adpator plate fabrication:
The template is given to a laser cutting workshop which transforms it into a 6 mm steel plate.
You can ask for heat insulating material (like Bakelite) if needed.

The base is now fitted to the carburettor (left) and the carburettor fixed in place with the right gaskets inserted in between all parts (right).
The final result is as shown here:
