Removing the used brake pads on a Dacia or Renault Duster
Slightly slacken the front wheels bolts and secure the back wheels prior to ligting your Duster SUV.
Lift the vehicle and secure it on a jack stand.
Do not attempt to replace our brake pads without a jack stand, this is a mandatory safety procedure for working beneath a car, even if partially.

Observe well the front brake calipers and identify the two nuts that hold it from behind.
Unscrew the lower nut (bottom nut) only. You will need to block the bolt with a flat spanner while doing so.
Tilt the calipers upward until freeing the brake pads and take out the old pads.

Refitting new brake pads on a Dacia or Renault Duster
Start by removing the old springs and refitting the new ones as shown below.
In case you procured pads that did not include the springs, then you can still proceed with the refitting of the new ones since springs can eventually live twice as much as the pads but do not neglect replacing them when you can. not doing so, could result in your brakes generating unwanted noise.

Refit now the new brake pads of the Dacia Duster and make sure they are well in contact with the brake disc.
You have to make the pads slide inside their holding springs.

Using a C-clamp and a spanner as shown in the left picture, push back the brake calipers piston till the end.
Tilt the brake calipers down over the pads, use the new provided bolt and tighten it.
Prodeed to the other side of the car.

Once done, MAKE SURE OF THE BELOW CHECKLIST prior to driving the vehicle:
- Open the brake fluid reservoir and check the level is back to the "Max" marking or a bit less.
- While the rear wheels are still blocked, sit in the vehicle, turn the engine ON and press the brake pedal several times until hard.
- Test the vehicle on road while braking gently.
- Avoid sudden or strong braking during the first 100 kilometers.
