Battery location on Renault Trafic, Opel Vivaro and Nissan Primastar vans

The battery of the Trafic / Vivaro / Primastar is located underneath the carpet on driver's side.
This picture shows the Opel Vivaro but all three vans are absolutely identical.

How to remove the battery on Renault Trafic, Opel Vivaro and Nissan Primastar
- Take out the carpet beneath driver seat
- Take out the red cover protector shown in above picture with your hand
- Untighten the nut of the positive battery terminal connector
- Pull up the positive battery distribution plate, which simply holds to the battery with spring legs on the sides
- Tilt the battery terminal distribution plate to create access to the battery and hold it in some manner
- Disconnect the negative lead, the battery holding bolt, and proceed with the battery removal or replacement
Refitting the battery on the Renault Trafic, Opel Vivaro and Nissan Primastar
Before reversing the above steps, make sure to:
- Clean the battery tray
- Remove any corrosion around the battery access trap with a wire brush
- Apply a coat of anti-rust paint as shown above
