BEFORE YOU START!
Car wheels can get strongly jammed if it's been quite some time that they haven't been removed from the vehicle. For this reason, rotating tires each 5,000 or 10,000Km can help avoiding such inconvenience: imagine you have a flat tire while driving, but you can't fit the spare, because your wheel is simply stuck! |

What causes car wheels to get stuck?
Use a flat screwdriver to remove the logo at the center of the trim and you will notice corrosion on both metals: the aluminum alloy of the trim and the steel material of the wheel hub; this happens on any of the front or rear wheels.
This slow corrosion, results in a seizure of the two metal parts together, which explains why you can't remove the wheel. It also means that your wheel fits very precisely and tightly to the hub, i.e it does not move at all even when the wheels hit potholes or when driving on uneven roads.
Hitting you car wheel with your foot or even a piece of wood and a hammer won't be enough to release the seized trim; check below on how to solve this problem.

Unseizing stuck wheels from a vehicle
Step 1: spread penetrating oil between the wheel and the hub:
Step 2: Use an old flat screwdriver and force it between the trim and the hub with a hammer, as far as it can go.
Step 3: pour boiling water on the center of the wheel
Step 4: wait for 1 minute and hit the wheel on its circumference with your foot.

Refitting car wheels that were previously jammed
Do not refit a wheel as is to the car, if it was jammed.
