What's the Arabic Saudi Coffee?
Arabic coffee is often confused with Turkish coffee, simply because the Turkish coffee is widely prepared in the Arab countries of the Levant like Lebanon, where the Lebanese coffee for example is famous for its variety of tastes, foamy appearance and deep rooting within local traditions.
The authentic "Arabic" coffee only refers to the one made in the Arab peninsula, namely Saudi Arabia, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Oman, Sharjah, Qatar, Yemen, Bahrain, etc.
It is completely different from the Turkish coffee as it is not necessarily made with the same coffee beans mix, the beans are not roasted to the same level, it is prepared differently, and uses additional flavors, mainly cardamom, but also blossom water.
Its appearance is yellow, not black, even with no creamer added.
You cannot add milk to the Arabic coffee, while you can add Lebanese coffee to milk.
You are often offered the Arabic coffee as a welcome drink upon arriving to a hotel in Saudi Arabia or at a business class seat of an Arab airline like Saudia.

1 teaspoon of Ground Arabic coffee
A pinch of Arabic coffee enhancer (optional)

Arabic Coffee Recipe:
- Start by heating an oriental coffee pot filled to 1/3 with water, so mainly 3/4 of its large bottom part.
- Add the Arabic coffee and the Arabic coffee enhancer (optional) a bit before the water boils
- The latter consists of creamer, beta-carotene for the color and a boost of cardamom and cloves so the coffee taste turns oriental to the max. You can simply skip it but make sure then the ground coffee you purchased has cardamom.

Leave the pot at low heat for 12-15 minutes
Remove the coffee pot from heat and add one teaspoon of Lebanese blossom water known as "Maa Al Zahr".
Serve with Sukkari dates and Enjoy!
