When to suspect a sulfated lead acid battery?
- If stored unused for a long time
- In vehicles with intensive city use especially with the air conditioner and lights on.
- In unused equipment
- If the battery charges too fast
- If the battery cannot reach a voltage of 14.5V when charging
- If the battery keeps drawing a little current when charged on an automatic charger with the charger never indicating the full charge status
Which batteries can be desulfated with a pulse desulfator?
All lead acid (lead-acid) batteries aged two years or more and still in good condition:
- Batteries with adjustable electrolyte levels
- Sealed lead acid, VRLA, gel
- Calcium batteries
- Maintenance-free batteries
- Car, UPS, motorcycle, generator, boat, golf cart, torch light, backup batteries

Lead acid battery regeneration - desulfator cycle
- Make sure your battery is charged i.e. that its voltage is more than 12.0 V
- Remove it from your car or UPS or at least disconnect it completely
- Connect the electronic pulse desulfator wires to the battery terminals, this device requires no external power, it gets powered by the battery itself
- The desulfator will recognize the battery voltage and start pulsing the battery
- Keep it for 6 hours at least and up to 10 hours.

Lead acid battery regeneration: charging cycle
- Take out the pulse generator and plug the battery charger to the battery
- Leave it until fully charged
- If the battery does not reach the required charging voltage or if it is still drawing a little current, unplug your charger after a few hours and as long as your battery voltage is more than 14V
- Repeat the desulfatror / charging cycle described above at least three to four times, meaning during 2 -3 days
