How to access the serpentine belt and its tensioner on the Duster
Take out the lower part of the fender mudguard on the Dacia Duster, this will uncover the crankshaft pulley and the drive belt tensioner.
It provides enough space to carry out an auxiliary belt and/or tensioner replacement.

Now take one or more pictures of the serpentine belt prior to removing it so you can later know how to fit the new one back:

Removing the auxiliary drive belt on the Duster
Take out the serpentine belt using an extra long size 13 combination spanner which you fit to the serpentine belt tensioner central bolt and rotate clockwise until the belt is untightened.
Hold the spanner with something (like a cable tie) so you can take out the serpentine belt as shown in the picture to the right.

Continue pulling out the drive belt from beneath the vehicle:
Once you remove the drive belt, you can also unscrew the two holding bolts of the belt tensioner and take it out from this freed space as shown in this picture:

Refitting a new drive belt to the Renault k4m engine
Start by removing the drive belt wheel, checking it for noise or presence of a gap, when tilting it on its bearing.
Do not hesitate to replace it if you suspect any wear, or else use a grit 200 sandpaper to clean it prior to refitting it.

If you're replacing the belt tensioner, just fit it in its intended seat and tighten its two holding bolts.
If you're keeping your tensioner, use a flat spanner to rotate the tensioner clockwise and insert and allen key as shown in the picture to the right for holding it in its standby position. When doing so, you're manually countering the tensioning spring force so be careful not to let the tensioner hit your hand or fingers in case it accidentally gets out of your spanner.
You can now refit a new drive belt.

After refitting the new serpentine belt, use curved long-nose pliers to take out the tensioner's pin (if new, or else the allen key which you inserted); this releases the spring and tensions the belt.
Make sure the belt is well fitted in its intended route and that its Vs are well facing the grooves on the pulleys prior to releasing the tensioner spring.

Once done, turn on your engine and make sure all works smooth and fine prior to refitting the lower crankshaft pulley cover, check the below video:
