Refitting a drive belt (serpentine belt) tensioner
If you had removed your drive belt tensioner and serpentine belt for whatever reason and you'd like to refit the same tensioner, then you need to load it prior to refitting it to the vehicle.

Proceed as follows:
- Put the drive belt tensioner in a bench vice as shown
- Make sure to place it in a manner it doesn't slip out of the vice. See how this one was inclined in the middle picture.
- Close the vice for compressing the belt tensioner's spring and until the two holes match
- Put in any pin, preferable elbow shaped so you can pull it out later on once the tensioner is refitted to the vehicle.
