Where to install the kitchen gas detector?
Mount the detector at a distance comprised between 1 and 4 meters from the wall on which the gas stove is installed. Fix it at 30 cm from floor level if the gas is heavier than air like the LPG. See bottom of page for other gases. Make sure to keep it away from door openings or moving items: cupboard doors, drawers, etc.
Do not install it directly over of the gas stove or over the sink as it should be close to the floor and away from water splashes.
Do not forget that it needs electrical power and should be therefore close to a socket outlet.
