Preparatory works for the removal of a driver's airbag
WARNING: you need first to completely disconnect the battery, both negative and positive terminals, then wait for 15 minutes prior to proceeding with the below. Do not attempt to remove an airbag without disconnecting the battery terminals!
As an additional precautionary measure, push the driver's seat back to the maximum in a manner that you always sit as far as possible from the steering wheel during this intervention.

Removing the driver's airbag on the Peugeot 208
Get two pin removers (pin punch) of any diameter between 3.5 and 5 mm and insert them at the same time in the small holes behind the steering wheel. There are two holes on each side of the steering wheel, one is a perfect circle and the other one is oblong.

Insert the pin removers completely and apply a simultaneous pressure on both by tilting them inwards in a manner to kick the airbag out.
Hold well the airbag as it is still connected with wires.

Disconnect the earth wire first.
Then remove the airbag connector (left, middle) and the horn and beeper connector (right)
Take out the airbag assembly.
