NOTE: This pictorial shows how to replace the keyboard of an ACER ASPIRE 775.
Dismantling the Acer Aspire keyboard
Carefully look between the keyboard keys until you find small "legs" that do hold the laptop's keyboard in place.
Make sure the laptop is turned off before using a small flat screwdriver to push the legs out of the frame that surrounds the keyboard.
Do so on all four sides.

This will free the Aspire keyboard which can now be pulled out as shown in the left picture.
Do so carefully not to damage the connector.
Use again the precision screwdriver to unlock the flat cable from the connector and pull out the keyboard connecting cable as shown in the right picture.

How to fit a new keyboard on the ACER ASPIRE series laptop
Make sure the new keyboard's connecting cable is of the same shape.
Insert first the keyboard's harness into its connector, and push the locking latch to immobilize the harness.
Insert the keyboard in its intended place.

Push back each and every keyboard holder (leg) so it locks or until you hear a "click".
Start your PC and make sure all is fine.
If you notice any malfunction, go to Control Panel > Device Manager > Keyboards.
Right click on your keyboard and select update driver.
That's it.
