Basin pop up (pop-up) plug replacement pictorial

1- This pop up plug doesn't pop up anymore even when the handle is pushed down?
2- Remove the pop up plug and inspect it. Check the pin tip which should be round and flat.
3- This plug is extremely worn with more than its two thirds being eroded.

4- Try the new pop up plug you purchased and check if it is lifted enough when pushing down the mechanism.
5- If not, you can adjust it by loosening the nut and unscrewing the pin, then blocking the latter with the nut again.
6-  Do not over do it, check it closes when the handle is up. The pop up plug is now ready and pops up again.
