How to remove a mechanical fuel pump
- Put a cloth beneath the fuel hoses and disconnect them.
- Move the cloth to beneath the fuel pump body.
- Use a ratchet handle with the necessary extensions and articulated extensions to reach the two fixing bolts of the pump to the engine.
- Unscrew and remove the bolts.
- Take out the pump.
Refitting the mechanical fuel pump
- Make sure to replace the gasket with a new one.
- This is a paper gasket that you can cut by yourself like for carburetor gaskets.
- Reverse above steps.
- Tighten the bolts to contact first then to 1.5 mKg.
