How to remove a mechanical fuel pump

  1. Put a cloth beneath the fuel hoses and disconnect them.
  2. Move the cloth to beneath the fuel pump body.
  3. Use a ratchet handle with the necessary extensions and articulated extensions to reach the two fixing bolts of the pump to the engine.
  4. Unscrew and remove the bolts.
  5. Take out the pump.

Refitting the mechanical fuel pump

  1. Make sure to replace the gasket with a new one.
  2. This is a paper gasket that you can cut by yourself like for carburetor gaskets.
  3. Reverse above steps.
  4. Tighten the bolts to contact first then to 1.5 mKg.
