How to disconnect a car's door electrical connector

Removing the seat belt and middle frame panel

The rear car door connector is located inside the middle frame. You need first to uncover the frame.
  1. Start by locating the front seat belt holding nut (left) and pull out the seat belt adjustment lock.
  2. Take out the seat belt nut and drop the seat belt on the vehicle's floor.
  3. Pull out the cover panel which would in turn uncover screws that fix the lower part of the middle frame panel.
  4. Do not hesitate to pull out with your hands any panel when no visible screws are left anymore.
  5. The middle frame panels are usually held with clips on one side (top or bottom) and "legs" on the other side.
  6. Pull it out on the clips side and lift it or lower it to free the legs from their seats.

Disconnecting the door electrical connector

Inside the vehicle: use a flat screwdriver to lift the connector holder and free the wire harness plug (left and middle pictures).
From the outside: gently move right and left the other part of the door connector while pulling out in order to free it from its seat (right).
