Disconnecting and unscrewing the EB2 engine intake manifold
Disconnect the battery and remove the air box (resonator) and air filter housing.
Remove the oil vapor link between intake manifold and cylinder head cover (left).
Disconnect the vacuum line (middle). Remove without disconnecting and keep aside the pressure sensor (right). |

Unscrew now the intake manifold bolts.
There are 3 of them on the front and 4 to the back side but easily accessible.
A 5th bolt on the back side fixes a wire harness to the intake manifold, remove it and free the harness.

Taking the EB2 engine intake manifold out of the engine compartment.
Drain the coolant by pulling out the lower hose of the radiator.
Use a screwdriver to open the clamp of the cabin heater hose that connects to the thermostat housing and pull the hose out.

Remove the battery and unscrew the battery tray.
No need to take it out, just make sure it moves right and left.
