Removing a car alternator
The alternator removal is very easy for consisting of unscrewing and removing the two bolts that hold it and pushing it outside its supports with a large flat screwdriver, that's it!

Refitting a car alternator
Always start by inserting the car alternator in its lower support.
Use a bit of WD40 or any penetrating oil to be able to do so easily then mount the lower bolt an tighten it by hand only.

Tilt the car alternator upwards, lubricate it with penetrating oil as shown and insert it in its upper support.
You may use a plastic hammer (soft mallet) to push the car alternator "leg" inside its engine block mounted support.

Refit the upper car alternator bolt and tighten both bolts to the required torque as advised by the car manufacturer, or you may follow our general tightening torques chart.
Refit the drive belt or a new serpentine belt depending on what was the purpose of your intervention, take care however to refit the accessory belt in the same rotation direction if you are reusing the old one.
