The Carob Molasses
Know in Arabic as "Debas El Kharrub", the carob molasses are prepared out of the fruits of the carob tree, widely available in the Mediterranean countries and used as a sweetener in the Lebanese cakes and desserts.
Mix well the flour and the anise powder, then add the carob molasses and oil and keep mixing until obtaining a uniform dough. Now add the oat flakes and integrate them to the dough.
Cut the dough in balls and give the cookies the desired shape.
Pre-heat your oven to 210 degrees Celsius, apply a thin coat of oil or butter to any baking tray and bake the oat cookies for half an hour.
