Removing the EB2 engine oil pan bolts
Put your engine on a work bench and on a metal tray since motor oil will leak when separating the oil pan.
Unscrew and remove all visible bolts that fix the oil pan to the Peugeot EB2 engine block.
One of the bolts can only be accessed after removing the catalytic converter fixing bracket (right).
Unscrew and remove all visible bolts that fix the oil pan to the Peugeot EB2 engine block.
One of the bolts can only be accessed after removing the catalytic converter fixing bracket (right).
Unscrew and remove:
- the oil filter
- the oil sump
Unscrew and remove all bolts that were hidden beneath the oil filter and oil pan of the Peugeot EB2 engine.

Removing the clutch from the Peugeot EB2 engine

Removing the bolts on the clutch side
Unscrew and remove the bolts that hold the oil pan to the EB2 engine block on the clutch side if you had not done so before.
Unscrew and remove the two bolts that fix the crankshaft seal anti-splash tray to the oil pan.
Unscrew and remove the two bolts that fix the crankshaft seal anti-splash tray to the oil pan.
Pull the oil pan out of the EB2 engine block and take out the plastic tray that fits below the crankshaft.
The Peugeot 1.2VTi engine (EB2) crankshaft is now visible and the piston rods can be accessed for removal.
