Renault Trafic 2.0 16V air filter location and replacement (F4R engine)
- Detach the rubber tie that holds the air inlet tube, and remove the tube
- The air filter box is located to the right side behind the engine.
- Use a Torx scredriver to unscrew the two screws that hold the air filter housing to the inlet manifold
Tilt the air filter housing to the right and pull it up.
As shown here, the air filter is held by two "legs" on its lower side, that are to be inserted first in their seats when refitting, and two screws from top.

You can now remove the air filter cartridge of the Renault 2.0 16V (F4R engine) and replace it with a new one.
Make sure you insert well the orange edges into the plastic housing.
Reverse above steps for reassembling.
