Symptoms of a squeaking (creaking) noise from a Peugeot 5008
- Creaking (squeaking) noise when steering at very low speed felt to the front of the vehicle
- Creaking (squeaking) noise when driving at low speed on a bad uneven road, felt to the front of the vehicle
- Creaking (squeaking) noise when passing a road bump (hump), felt to the front of the vehicle
- Suspension noise is particularly felt on a cold morning or when driving on wet roads.

How to silence the front suspension of a Peugeot 5008
Remove the side rubber covers in between the fenders and the ventilation grille at the bottom of the windshield (left).
Remove the rubber seal below that fits to the ventilation grille (middle).
Unscrew and remove the ventilation grille bolt.
Remove the rubber seal below that fits to the ventilation grille (middle).
Unscrew and remove the ventilation grille bolt.
Use a flat and thin screwdriver to take out the windshield wipers bolt covers and unscrew the wipers nuts.
Spray a little WD40 or any penetrating oil on the wipers base.
Spray a little WD40 or any penetrating oil on the wipers base.

Use your grip pliers to extract the windshield wiper arm from its bolt as shown.

Disconnect the rubber drainage hoses from the ventilation grille of the Peugeot 5008.

Carefully take out the ventilation grille while pulling upwards.
This uncovers the top of the Peugeot 5008 MacPherson struts.
Block the shock absorber screw with a Torx angled key and slacken the shock absorber holding nut.
Take out the damper cup.
Spray the bottom of the damper cup with white grease and do the same on the shock absorber support beneath it.
That's it, this should silence your suspension for a few weeks at least.
Reassemble by reversing the above steps. You can also lubricate the windshield wipers mechanism before refitting the ventilation grille.

That's it, this should silence your suspension for a few weeks at least.
