The below troubleshooting guide is widely compatible with any of the KAMA and KIPOR KDE 2000, KDE3300, KDE5000, KDE5500, KDE6000 and KDE6500 generators and any single cylinder engine diesel generator of any make and model.

Small diesel generator periodic maintenance schedule:

Maintenance	Daily	Monthly or 20 Hours	3 months or 100 Hours	6 months or 500 Hours	1 year or 1000 Hours
Check and refill fuel oil	X	-
Drain out little fuel oil to remove water in fuel	-	X
Check engine oil level, adjust if necessary	X
Inspect the genset unit for oil leaks	X
Check for any lose bolts, levers, cables	X
Tighten cylinder head bolts				X
Change oil (1st time 20 Hrs)		X	X
Clean engine oil filter, replace if needed				X
Replace air filter (air cleaner)				X
Clean or replace fuel oil filter				X	X
Check fuel injection pump				X
Check fuel injection nozzle				X
Adjust valve clearance				X
Grind intake and exhaust valves		-		-	X
