Dismantling and removing the valves from the 1.2VTi Peugeot engine
Remove the valves tappets with your fingers or long-nose pliers and place them in a tray after marking the exact location of each tappet, i.e. exhaust / intake, cylinder number and left / right.
Try the valve spring compressor in your possession to make sure it fits on the 1.2VTi valves springs.
If it doesn't, do not hesitate to modify the tool like in this case where one of its legs was bent and its tip cut with a angle grinder in a manner to make it smaller. Make sure to have a well adapted tool or else you will lose a lot of time trying to compress the spring with no result.

Once you compress the valve spring, use any magnetic tool to take out the two half cones (left) and make sure to put them in a safe place.
In case the half cones don't come out, place your cylinder head vertically and hit the valve with a plastic hammer.
This will release the cones, you can then take out the valve spring and the valve spring cup.
