Removing the cylinder head cover of the PSA EB2 engine (1.2 PureTech)
Start by removing all the fixing bolts of the EB2 engine intake manifold so it can be moved freely right and left.
You will not be able however to take it out completely as this requires disconnecting a coolant hose and the removal of the battery.

Slacken and remove the bolts that hold the cylinder head cover.
Move the intake collector right and left or lift it up to access all EB2 engine cylinder head cover bolts.

The EB2 engine cylinder head cover remains stuck in the wire harness that crosses up to the O2 sensor, A/C compressor, etc.
Detach the wire harness on either side (picture in the middle) in order to be able to pull it to the left and take it out (right).

Remove the 1.2 PureTech cylinder head cover gasket if it remains stuck on the cylinder head.

Refitting the cylinder head cover of the Peugeot 1.2 VTi PureTech (EB2)
Use a dry cloth to remove the oil from the cylinder head gasket plane which should be perfectly clean before refitting the new cover.
You need to replace the following parts:
-Cylinder head cover -Intake manifold seals -Butterfly body seal. Start by replacing the seals of the intake manifold. Its access is a bit difficult but you can manage because refitting new seals is quite easy. |

Insert the new Peugeot 1.2 VTi PureTech cylinder head cover beneath the wire harness and refit all fixing bolts.
Replace the butterfly body seal and reattach it to the intake manifold.
Refit the pressure sensor, the intake manifold, the oil vapor links, etc.
That's it!
