Context of valves seals aging and replacement
This Peugeot 1.2 VTi engine reached an oil consumption of 2L per each 1000 Km.
A compression test preformed on the engine returned somehow satisfactory results except a slight and normal difference between cylinders due to some non-conforming valves gaps.
The engine dismantling and oil consumption diagnostic showed the combustion chamber, intake manifold and space behind the valves are completely covered with both carbonized and wet motor oil denoting a simultaneous wear of the piston rings and valves seals.
The valves seals on the exhaust side became hard and brittle as shown in the below picture.
They break like hard plastics when touching the rubber parts of the valves seals with pliers.
It is time to fit a new set of valves seals.

Valves seals removal on the PSA EB2 cylinder head
Use a flat screwdriver and a plastic hammer to give a short and firm hit on the valve seal washer so it rotates before using long nose pliers to hold the seal and pull it out.

Refitting new valves seals on the Peugeot 1.2VTi (EB2) engine
All seals are identical meaning there is no difference between seals for intake and exhaust valves.
They are sold in a kit of 12 seals.

This intervention supposes you already cleaned the cylinder head.
You just need to clean the valve guides (sleeves).
Use a soft cloth to clean the valves guides tips and a 6 mm soft straw brush to clean the valves guides sleeves all along their length.

Put a drop of motor oil on the valve guide and around it, where the valve seal washer will come to contact.
Push the valve seal into the guide with your finger until contact.

Now use a socket of that fits around the valve seal as shown in the middle picture and give a small hit on it with a plastic hammer.
Do not hit hard, just a light and short hit to make sure the valve seal washer came to contact with the cylinder head all around its circumference.
